IRC Type ll is specifically designed for frames with 20mm dropouts (see photo) and comes with a built-in chain tensioner, allowing you to easily mount wheels with 15mm or 10mm axles using the included adapters.
The revolutionary IRC system utilizes a stainless steel CNC axle, connected by two ball bearings and a stainless steel spring, to create a constant tension on the chain. The precision and smoothness of this mechanism ensures minimal resistance during pedaling. The chain line can be adjusted using the derailleur pulley, mounted on a stainless steel axle for accurate lateral adjustments. Once the optimal setting is achieved, simply lock it in place with the 4mm screw on the axle.
With IRC, you'll experience two major benefits. First, say goodbye to those dreaded hard spots caused by imperfections in your chainring, cog, or crankset. The spring-loaded tensioner effortlessly corrects these issues, providing a smooth ride every time. Please note that this quick change feature is only available for young riders under 13 years old, as older and more powerful riders will require a higher tension setting which will affect the chain length and make it more time-consuming to change the ring.
