SHIMANO CN-HG40 CHAIN 6,7,8 SPEED
179 Empress Road, Southampton SO14 0JW. Ready in 1 hour for warehouse stock. Racing this weekend? We'll bring it trackside.
Shimano's HG40 chain is the reliable workhorse your vintage drivetrain has been waiting for. Engineered for 6, 7, and 8-speed systems, it features chamfered inner plates that keep shifts snappy and smooth across HG sprockets. The quick-link connector makes installation a breeze, while heat-treated rollers and pins deliver serious durability. With mushroomed pins that grip like a vice, this chain laughs in the face of breaking-force standards. At 7.3mm wide and a featherweight 335 grams, it's the perfect match for Altus and older Alivio/STX setups. Keep pedalling with confidence.
